5 Tips for Surviving Songkran
If you are volunteering in Thailand in mid-April it is likely you will be free from your project to enjoy the Songkran New Year Festival. Due to all the festivities of Songkran, along with the Thailand School year summer (which runs from March to mid-May) our volunteer and intern projects are closed for the month. However, a fair number of volunteers come early, or depart Thailand long after the end of their project to engage in this culturally rich festival.<br />

Presenting Bangkok Group 48! A small group of three ladies from Canada and the USA. The participants in this group are partaking in our Medical Internship and Womens Empowerment Project. They finished their orientation over the weekend and started in their projects on Monday.<br />

Presenting Bangkok Volunteer Group #47. A small group of only two volunteers, both from Germany. Normally, our late February, and March groups are small, due to the exams, and closing of the schools in Thailand, for the Thailand summer. These two volunteers are participating in our Bangkok Orphanage, and Womens Empowerment Volunteer Projects. Presenting Chiang Mai Volunteer and Intern Group #216! This group of six ladies arrived a little over a week ago, and started in their placements last week. All are doing well, and like the rest of us, are enjoying the lovely February weather here in Chiang Mai. The group has six participants, coming from Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the UK, France, and the USA. They are participating in our Medical Internship, Children's Home, Elephant Camp Volunteer Projects.
