Bangkok Volunteer Group 11
Here is our Bangkok Volunteer Group photo from mid-May, in front of the Jatujak Weekend Market sign. Jatujak Market is one of the places we visit with new volunteer and intern groups during New Group Orientation. Not only is Jatujak Weekend Market an interesting place to visit (and only around the corner from our volunteer house and office), but it's also a great place to do souvenir and gift shopping for friends and family at home - or just yourself. Many of our volunteers and interns have told me that they return to Jatujak Market multiple times after the orientation to wonder, eat and shop.
Chiang Mai Thailand Volunteer Group 174
Presenting our special 174th volunteer group here in Chiang Mai. Eva, Daniel, Karissa and Jennifer are friends and have come to Chiang Mai to participate in our Children's Home and Elephant Camp Volunteer Projects. They are a week and a half into their Children's Home Placement, and will be starting their Elephant Camp Project in abut three and a half weeks. We hope that these four American volunteers enjoy their experience working with the kids and elephants.
Student Group Volunteers - Thailand!
As we get closer to the summer of 2015, we would like to present our High School Student Group Projects. In March of 2015, we hosted a high school group from Hong Kong. The group came to participate in a project in Chiang Mai, where they volunteered with children at a local children's home, learned and worked with elephants at a local elephant camp and visited the iconic Sunday Night Street market in the center of Chiang Mai.
Make a Lasting Impact as a
Volunteer or Intern in Thailand
These projects provide authentic access to Thai communities, beyond typical tourist experiences. The connections formed while volunteering create lasting impacts, both for volunteers and the local people whose lives they touch.
